It's BBC Gardener’s World Live
David Austin®roses have once again featured in show gardens at this year's BBC Gardener’s World Live. The show’s celebration of summer gardening features a line-up of Gardeners' World TV presenters and top experts, inspirational show gardens and a vast floral marquee packed with displays and plants to buy, shopping and entertainment.
The Lark Ascending®(Ausursula) is featured in 'The Then & Now' garden by Katie Smithson from The Garden Sitters.
Awarded a Gold medal, this contemporary urban space signifies the journey through our changing climate and introduces the cohesion of traditional and modern planting. It focuses on sustainable, biodiverse, and low-maintenance plants with a modern twist.
The Lark Ascending’s semi-double apricot blooms showcase a golden cluster of stamens at the centre, and its tall, airy growth made it the perfect addition of English roses to the garden.
Gertrude Jekyll®(Ausbord) is featured in 'Magic Moment Border garden by Stef Hayden
A garden with heart, the Magic Moments Border depicts a story of many generations, where simple yet significant moments in backyards and parks have sparked a love for gardening.
The bright pink blooms and strong Old Rose fragrance of Gertrude Jekyll adds a sense of nostalgia to the space, perhaps evoking memories of making rose perfume as a child.
Following the exhibition, the Magic Moments Border, which was awarded a silver medal, will be relocated to a Women's Aid domestic abuse refuge.
