Three Ways to Use This Joyful Rose

Bring Me Sunshine® (Ausernie) epitomises warmth and elegance in any garden. This remarkable variety, launched in 2022, is favoured for its versatility, health, and cheerful colour. Its deeply filled, cupped rosette blooms in rich sunset orange-yellow gradually transition to lighter apricot tones, offering an ever-changing display of colour. Bring Me Sunshine® has a medium-strong myrrh fragrance, making it a sensory delight. As a shrub it can be pruned to 4ft or trained as a climber, reaching up to approximately 8 ft, adding flexibility to its use in various garden designs. Here, we explore three ways to incorporate Bring Me Sunshine® into your garden. .

Enhancing Patios with Containers

Bring Me Sunshine® is perfect for patios, balconies, and small gardens. It grows up to 4 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide and blooms from early summer to the first frosts. When planting in containers, use a large pot with good drainage and well-draining soil and position it in full to partial sunlight. Water regularly and use balanced fertiliser during the growing season for abundant blooming.

Creating Impactful Garden Borders

Bring Me Sunshine® is particularly effective in borders, where its vibrant orange-yellow blooms can add a striking focal point or seamlessly integrate with a mix of other plants. Whether showcased on its own or paired with perennials and ornamental grasses, this rose's large, fragrant blooms and upright growth bring a striking and elegant touch to any garden.
Plant Bring Me Sunshine® (Ausernie) in a sunny or partially shaded area with well-drained soil. Deadhead regularly for repeat flowering and a tidy appearance. Use mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Illuminating Shady Areas

Bring Me Sunshine® is well-suited for gardens where full sun may be limited. This rose can thrive in partially shaded areas, making it an ideal choice for bringing colour and fragrance to shadier spots in your garden.
To grow Bring Me Sunshine® in shaded areas, choose a spot with at least 4 hours of sunlight and well-draining, rich soil. Light pruning can also help improve air circulation around the shrub and allow more light into the centre of the rose canopy.
