Petals donated from RHS Hampton Court Flower Show to Confetti Club London
As part of our socially responsible BLOOM pledge, we have donated the spent blooms from roses exhibited at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival to Confetti London.
Approximately 60,000 petals from over 20 varieties of English Roses, including those from the new rose we revealed at the show, Penelope Lively®, will now become sustainable, biodegradable confetti sold on to benefit various UK cancer charities.
BLOOM is our commitment to the future, an ambitious socially responsible plan, bringing everything we do for our people, planet, the wider community, and gardeners of the future under one umbrella.
"This is exactly the sort of socially responsible behaviour we care to foster at David Austin® – the sort that is charitable and thoughtful towards the planet and others.
The BLOOM initiative started with introducing eco systems at our Plant Centre and HQ like our water capture system that provides us with 90% of our annual water consumption, but seeing it grow and extend to a kindhearted brand like Confetti Club London is a wonderful thing.”
